Bridge Blockade ‘Must Come to an End,’ Windsor Mayor Says
Drew Dilkens, the mayor of Windsor, Ontario, said the City Council had authorized a superior court injunction to be sought in an effort to end the blockade and have protesters removed if necessary.

The Ambassador Bridge represents a full one-third of the trade between Canada and the United States, and the ongoing occupation is having a profound impact on the economic well-being of both the Canadian and American business life and families. A short time ago, Windsor City Council met, and has authorized that an injunction be sought from Superior Court to bring about an end to this illegal occupation. The individuals on site are trespassing on municipal property and, if need be, will be removed to allow for the safe and efficient movement of goods across the border. The economic harm that this occupation is having on international trade is not sustainable, and it must come to an end.
