Three Missouri jail inmates escape cosidered armed and dangerous

Three inmates “considered armed and dangerous” have escaped from a Missouri county jail, authorities said Friday.

Lance Justin Stephens, Matthew Allen Crawford and Christopher Allen Blevins made their escape from the Barry County Jail in the early hours of Friday morning, according to the Barry County Sheriff’s Office.

It’s not clear how they got out of the facility.

Police have warned the public not to approach the subjects, and to call 911 immediately if located.

According to county jail records, Stephens, 29, was charged with delivery of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and unlawful use of a weapon. He was booked on May 16 and was held on a $75,000 bond.

Crawford, 29 was charged with two counts of theft and booked on April 22. He was being held on a $30,000 bond.

Blevins, 37, was booked on April 4 on several charges including unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of marijuana and tampering with a motor vehicle, records show. He was being held on a $16,260 bond.

The escape comes one day after an Texas inmate who escaped a prison transport bus three weeks ago was killed in a shootout with police after he allegedly murdered a grandfather and his four grandsons.
